SL/R230: Rubbing on 20"

Rubbing on 20"
So I installed 20" rims and have 245/35 tires on the front but noticed a noise from the front. Found out that there was only mm's of clearance from the tire and the little bolt+thread that sticks out from some arm in the wheelwell.
It dug into the tire and wore a deep groove... How do I go about grinding the thread off? Any specific files or... ?

Maybe if car is lowered.
On a stock hight SL however, 245/35-20 front and 275/30-20 or even 285/30-20 rear - present no issues at all. I tried above combos on a number of stock hight SLs - no rubbing issues at all. This is the first time I hear that 245/35-20 front rubs on "that" bolt. But the OP is not replying with details.
