Video: SL600 with muffler delete
The muffler delete mod has been discussed often here among the SL600 owners. Many say that replacing the rear mufflers with straight pipes gives the car a more sporty sound...much like that of the SL65.
I'd have to agree. The previous owner actually did the mod but I love it. I drove a stock SL600 before buying my current car and I found it far too quiet.
Here is a quick video I made. I have clips of the exhaust with the car stationary (revving) and driving with the top up and top down. It was hard to capture the sound of the exhaust with the top down due to wind noise but...you get the idea.
