The side panel that flips up/down to cover the top hinge is broken. It seems that the panel and hinge assembly has to be replaced as a unit. ~350$ US. The hinge is plastic! Anyone hear of a sturdier replacement(metal?)

Same thing happened to mine a few weeks ago. There are several threads on the forumn with fixes. Here is a link to the one I did and it worked perfectly. Good luck.
