Seat Removal

Hey all, planning on taking out the seats to put in new black carpeting. I haven't seen any threads on seat removal here or in the amg forum. Anyone that has done it before have any tips for me? Is it just a matter of taking out the bolts and disconnecting the wiring harness?

Yep, that's pretty much it.

The seats are heavy. I was able to lift it myself but it would have been easier with a second person to help.

Also be careful with the connectors...they're surprisingly flimsy.

You'll want to avoid turning the car on with either seat removed. Turning the ignition key will trigger an SRS light that can only be reset through Star Diagnostics or a similar tool
