2009 SL550 Lease Return Advice
Hi Folks:
My company is making the payments for new 2009 SL550 lease. The retail was $105K and purchase price was at $97k. The monthly lease payments is at $1475 for 39 months. Was this a good lease? The lease will end March 2012. I do not use the car much and keep the car in the garage. The car has 3000 miles and is pampered.
I like the car and would like to keep. The purchase option at end of lease term is $47K. My question is if I can negotiate the price down? What strategy should I use?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

'09 SL550 in March of '12 with 3K miles for $47K? And its "yours" already and you know it in and out. Buy it then without even thinkg about it. If you'll turn it in, they'll sell it retail for much higher.

Let me get this straight...Your company pays for the lease with x,xxx miles per year on an SL550 and you choose to basically park it? I've always had company cars and I try to find ways to put miles on...are they replacing the SL with another?

Buy the car at the end of the term and then lease it back to your company.
Then they pay it off, you own it and the company may get to expense the payments.
Obviously you get to drive it.
Check with your CPA.
