Ash interior with Birds Eye Maple?
I Just ordered my SL500 Silver with Ash but it comes standard with Burlwalnut trim.
Does any one know if it is possible to get the Birds Eye Maple instead?
My salesperson says most likely not.
I have seen pictures of that configuration but I don't know if the car was configured outside the U.S..
My CLK 430 came with the Maple and Ash and it was sharp.

theres this special wishes thingy in germany for mercedes....u can do anything to your car that u want.....better yet..ask vraa about this special wishes thing,he knows more bout it than me

'06 ML500 w/Apperance pkg & '07 SL550 w/AMG pkg
I personally love the Black Bird's Eye Maple in my W208. Even though it is very dark and hard to see the grain of the wood, it is very elegent looking. I thing you will be very happy with that interior combination!!

On the SL55 all wood/aluminium trim options are no charge (with the exception on Designo wood; comes as a package only).
On the SL500 there is normally a $1000 charge on any non-standard wood/interior combo. So it's possible, just not for free. I had that done on our CL500 (java with burlwood combo)
The charge is simply for processing a non-standard order and clearly a rip-off since most high-end Mercedes' are built to order anyway.

My dealer doesn't have any idea of how to do this but I will try him again and see.
It's amazing, you spend $100K on a car and the dealers don't know what their doing.
When a customer can find out more about a car then a dealer can it's pretty sad.
