Hi guys !
Just wondering theres this "AUX" button on my Audio Command system in my 04 R230 SL. I've searched on ebay and found the followings:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...item2311ec7f67
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Ben...item2c5876d2e4
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-BEN...item27bfdefbbc
does anybody have experience dealing with these cables? and which will work on my 04 command system?
Thank You!

the 04's have a 3.5mm audio jack in the glove compartment, on the side towards your center console. I recently got a bluetooth adapter from amazon: made by BRitelink
http://www.amazon.com/Britelink-Blue...3629537&sr=8-3
works wonderfully, plays the MP3's directly from my HTC phone. The sound is awsome, better than CD! only downside is that you have to turn the receiver on every time you get in the car, it turns itseolf off after 5-10 without use. Batter supposedly lasts 12 hours.
The AUX function is hidden in the SVC button on your COMMAND console. Press SVC, then you see AUX in the bottom of the screen (may have to press settings.. forgot, not in the car right now) and you have the AUX screen up. It's ready to receive whatever you send through the AUX jack. You can use a wired player too like playing ipod directly wired to the jack, but then you have to leave the ipod inside the glove compartment. I got a monster cable 3.5mm wire, it was too thick, the glove box door wouldn't close tght and I had to leave my player inside to close it or drive with the glove box open... not good. so, for me, the bluetooth was the way to go, think I might get an extension line just so I can see the on light on the bluetooth receiver better wen turning it on.
Good luck

Oh, btw, think this may actually work with your phone too but the mic function will be from your phone, so definitely cannot hide your phone in the glove box if you are playing mp3 from your phone. And it cannot connect to more than one device at a time so if you got it hooked up to your ipod, you can't use it with your phone to do hands free calls through your speakers.

Anyone had any luck with a bluetooth receiver for the R230 to be able to play music from an Iphone? My 2005 R230 came equiped with bluetooth under the arm rest and I have installed the OEM module cradle adapter; however it works only with making calls and does not play the music from my phone.
Anyone found a solution to that?

SL 55 and a GT 3000 vr4 Here's my car: http://home.online.no/~ludvs/index.cfm
If you put the 3.5 monster cable in the top left side of the glove box, it is no problem closing the door.
BTW, i'm using a monster cable from the glove box to the top armrest compartment.
If I can manage to charge it from the old telephone cradle in some way, i'll be very happy.
In the meantime, i'm using a usb plug in the sigarette holder.
