are the SLs out now?
i think i saw one today, but not sure. it was heading the other way and the headlights looked like the c-coupe, but when i looked in the rearview, the taillights looked like the new SL. well, definitely not like the coupe's.
i almost made a u-turn to see if i could catch up to it...

The SL are here now, however they will not be officially on sale for another month or two. There are only a handful of cars that are at dealers and at the home office in Montvale, NJ. The bulk of the cars are are awaiting shipments upon receiving the green light at MB VPC stations. The majority of the SL's are currently housed at the Maryland VPC. Literally rows upon rows of cars are sitting here ready to go.

sl never out always "in"
i was at the dealer yesterday and they told me the "sl500" will be officially on sale next week. they had one from renntech on display but not for sale. however i've seen many around the s.cali area with platinum motors license plates i think those guys direct imported them. a stunning sight to behold. they look slow even at speeds of upwards of 100. yes i kept up in my clk. also made a deposit on a sl55 since i was there....2004!!! no brochures no info nothing, not even a color chart. oh well.... there's always the net. suggestions for colors? preferably dark....while on the net, found that a panaromic top will be available!(opt) ohh ...and cooling seats too!!.
