SL/R230: Radio Upgrade

"2003" SL500 and E-320
Radio Upgrade
I have an "03" SL 500 and was looking to upgrade the command radio. I was told that it is a siemans radio only made for this model year and that there is no upgrade for my car. Anyone with experience on this?

If it's a command 2.0, it's a blaupunkt player that's mounted.

It's quite troublesome to upgrade it.
You have to take it out and put in a pioneer instead, and then you brobably lose some functions.
The easy thing to do, is to add an ampflifier in the trunk and put in a replacement for the 8 inch bose sub in the passenger footwell.
a 13 inch jl sub would do the trick.
