Leaked pics of the new 13' SL
I don't know how real these are but it looks like a crappy cell phone pic of the new catalog. I found it off these guys facebook feed. All the other pics were here; 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Catalog pics leaked
I prefer the more streamlined pre 09' Sl's myself. This looks like a giant SLK

I like the ripply interior .
I hope there is a tractor mode for the seats so one gets a real massage! You know, sort of like a belt that loops through the frame on a track system. Reverse mode needed etc.
I think MB should make a deal with TempurPedic another European company.

Maybe my '03 SL55 will get some of its value back. Or just stop depreciating!
That car is pretty weak

I think it will probably look better in person. I've never like the SLK until the current model came out. If the new SL looked as good as a stress SLK, I'd definitely buy one.
Give it some time, I don't think there was ever an ugly SL Mercedes!

I really love the front end and the interior. The rear and rear roof-line looks too much like the R230. Even though it is, it doesn't look like an entirely new car...
I'm looking forward to what the AMG version will look like.

It's like a better looking SLS. And with the M157 most likely going into it, combined with substantial weight savings, it's going to be a really cool car. Of course, it probably won't handle as well as an SLS.

better pics are here: http://www.teamspeed.com/forums/gene...ml#post1183557
That's not a bad thing, but it seems borrowed from BMW. Although, when you look at the rear from the back it does resemble the new CLS.

Dear Mercedes,
Thanks for nothing. Can you put together a bigger sleeper than the "yawn" all new (code for E-Class/SLK hybrid) SL. Let me rush right out an spend 110K on a car that looks like the porter banged it into a wall, circa 1960's seat pattern, and an interior dash that looks like a Durango. What a piece of crap. My SL500 2006 non-AMG with all it's curves, cockpit interior, curved lines, starfish wheels just got 100x more exotic than the "All-New E-SLK Hybrid Durango". It's not hip to be square unless your name is Huey. Fire your design team. A square car is a square car. Want to go innovative? You were on the right track with the minor updates in 2009 - get that think looking like a new B52 bomber - angles, sharp lines, guages. And lastly, this is not an all new look. It's the same car squared. Besides my crappy command unit which thanks to aftermarket will let me watch TV in the car, use the phone system, watch DVDs - oh, I can't do Facebook updates - let me sell my 2006 and spend 80K more so I can do that. I don't know about you all, I'm not excited - I'm almost embarassed at the car. The Pontiac Solstice looks more bad *** than this - without the star. When someone says "what year's your SL, I'll gladly say 2006. I'd rather say 2011 Night Edition - but - the ladies like the 2006 non-AMG. They want to sit in it, fashion themselves in it and feel like a lady. Not so even with the AMG's or the after models. Yeah, guys car post 2008, I get it. Chick magnet - 2008 and prior. Someone wake me when they really redesign the car. What a sleeper.

SL 55 and a GT 3000 vr4 Here's my car: http://home.online.no/~ludvs/index.cfm
It's gonna help with the new 5.5 turbo engine
The car is a lot lighter on it's feet and together with the new AMG engine, it's gonna be REAL quick.
Rumored in 2009 and confirmed in 2010, AMG developed the M157, a 5.5-litre V8 with direct fuel injection and twin turbochargers. Power is rated at 400 kW (544 PS / 536 bhp) at 5,500rpm with a peak torque of 800Nm (590 lb-ft) made between 2,000rpm and 4,500rpm. An even more powerful version with the AMG Performance Package will produce 420 kW (571 PS / 563 bhp) and 900Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. Both engines will be mated to Mercedes-Benz's 7-speed MCT transmission.[16][17][18] The 2011 CL 63 AMG accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) (electronically limited), while cars with the AMG Performance package can make the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark in 4.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) (also electronically limited).
