Replacing the front brakes for 2004-SL500 - need cheaper places than the dealer, LOL

Hi guys
what a wonderful forum is this, I never knew this been existed .
I have 2004 - SL 500 with 49,000 miles, ran out of the warranty and I'm so sick of those Los Angeles MB dealers, I end up with $3000 + bill every time I go there, they for sure waited my warranty to be done then started hitting me with this and that, LOL.
My brake light came on once this week but never again, the dealer told me that the front brakes still have like 20% or whatever 3 months back, so it seems it is the time to fix replace them, but the problem is the dealer wants $1000+, is there any way I can get these done at cheaper price, I'm a girl and knows nothing about changing them myself, so please help me finding some good honest shop to replace these brakes, I'm in west side Los Angeles (Santa Monica, Marina del Rey) have no problem fixing it anywhere else as long as its 40 miles or less away from me.

Thanks a lot

$1000+? Do you have a list of what they were replacing? Rotors + pads?

Incarceration is probably in order for the majority of the Stealer network. Find a good Indy and stop feeding these thieves.
