Well, It's about time we bought an SL. Couple of weeks ago we bought/ordered a 2003 SL. Got it with Pewter, Xenons, Keyless Go, Ventilated Seats, and Parktronic. Should be delivered ~Sep 1st. Any tips/things to do when the car is delivered?

the first thing you do is put the top down, put your significant other in the other seat, and go cruising :p

i have never seen pewter in real life, but it seems best when its sunny. hope the chicago weather is nice when you get your car.

oh and did you get the AMG sport package?

Haha, It's father and son...

And, no, no AMG Sport package. My father didn't like the Low Profile tires.

We might upgrade to the AMG Rims soon though.

I live in Chicago, and have almost the exact same car.

Let me know if you are interested in the 18" AMG 5-spokes that came with the Sport package. I am in the process of ordering 19" wheels for my SL500 Sport, and will be looking to sell these in about a month.

I should have made it more clear...

My father decided to flat out buy the car, no leasing, finaning, etc. He thinks all of that stuff is BS anyways. I'll be sure to post pics in the picture thread when it's delivered.
