leaking rear shock - Arnott?
Looks like my 2003 Mercedes sl 500 has a leak under the passenger side rear wheel. Afraid it’s probably the abc shock. Looking at the web i saw a new one at mbonline parts for about $1100 or i could get the rebuilt, OE front air shocks from Arnott http://www.arnottindustries.com/part...18_pid145.html
has anybody used these, if so what did you think?
"Arnott is pleased to offer our completely rebuilt, OE front air shocks for the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. Each shock is painstakingly disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up. We have worked directly with one of the largest seal manufactures to design and test a nearly indestructible polyurethane seal to last for many years. Your price is only $599.00, plus a refundable $200.00 core charge (prepaid return label included). Once again, our design is not only more efficient, but it’s also much more affordable! Each shock is covered under a lifetime warranty. "
I’ve heard mb recommends you do both (car has 83k miles) but i'm pretty cheap and would really rather get by with just the one. Would this be ok?
They also have a 10% off code of 74V4-W7D.
