Driver Optimized audio? R230

so i've been tweaking the audio settings and realized that I had the "driver optimized" selection checked for the audio preferences in the COMMAND.

I noticed that by selecting the other options like small, med, or large "ambient area" activates the rear speakers and sounds alot better...

Is driver optimized customizable? obviously it would need adjustment on the balance from front to rear but I just cant seem to find how to customize it. the range of lows to highs is much better in driver optimized- not in the other settings..but the tradeoff is only the front speakers are on.

can anyone shed some light on this? thanks

2006 SL 500

Driver Optimized audio? R230

To my surprise and disappointment, there is no factory fader on my 2006 SL 500. I tried to find it and so did the dealer until he finally realized and confirmed there was none.
