2005 sl500
2005 sl500 battery light on
Hi All

I have a 2005 sl500 I am working on, When I got it it would not start due to a n/g starter battery it was pushing a cool 7 cca.... changed it and the rear battery as they were at the end of there service life. When I started the car she was charging 14.7 steady which seemed high for me and my hand held tester. So I changed the alternator and now the voltage jumps from 14.2 to 12.5....... not sure if the alternator is ng or the power module may have crashed ....

any help is greatly appreciated

more
also hooked a scan tool and pulled the following out of the computer b1011 control unit voltage to hi
b1829 fuse for battery component erroe
b1838 shortcircuit at terminal 30 or 30a

Your info is too limited, but could be a problem with Voltage Regulator. Do a search for more info on that.
