Airmatic -> Coilovers?

Brother has a SL500 and is in need of a new ABC pump. It's gonna cost somewhere around 2k and was wondering if anyone has swapped to a coilover system. This is gonna be a daily driver and i'm not looking for a performance upgrade, just wanna swap out the system and see what i can do to prevent the suspension from going egg on me in the future.

Please provide the brand/cost of the coilover kit you swapped to.

Check you PM's...

I swapped out to KW V2's on my 211. They retail a hair of $2k for the coilover themselves. There are a few misc. parts you have to buy in order to install the coils also.

Is this dealer or indy price? And does switching to coilovers really prevent future abc problems?

I hope mine doesn't die out. *fingers crossed
