Glove box stays locked - why?
Hi, I have a 2005 SL 500. Havent experienced this problem before, but suddenly when I unlock my car, get in, within 10 seconds I hear a click in the cabin. I try to open the glove compartment and its locked. The key hole is in the vertical position which should mean it's unlocked. No options, I have to use the metal key to manually unlock before it will open.
But once I get out and lock the car and then get back in, the glove box is again locked. Every other compartment isn't though.
What's going on? Can someone help shed some light? Thanks.

It might also be the lock being stuck. Its a common issue I have just havent had a chance to try and fix. I have to press mine like 3-4 times until it opens and if you search "glove" under SL forums you should see some info..
