Extended warranty question

I have been searching this and other websites to find a good aftermarket warranty for my 2006 SL500, and have not had much success. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have USAA they have been outstanding to deal with. They did my engine & transmission mounts and a leaking hose to the turbo charger on my 2005 SL600 without a hitch!

I just got some preliminary numbers from a local MB dealer for one on an '03-'04 SL500 with under 50k miles and she said that depending on length of term, 2yr to 4 yr, and miles, 24k to 48k. the cost could range from $4500 to $6500. This was for a Fidelity warranty through the MB dealer with a $100 deductible. $40 transfer fee when you sell the car and can get a refund for unused miles should the new owner not want to pay you for it.

A freind has this on an '07 ML63 AMG and has been very happy with it. It cost him about $2500 about a year ago and the vehicle had about 8k miles on it.

Steve, Just so happens I am in the STL area also. I called one dealer and was told they do not sell them. Would you pm which dealership you spoke with?
Thanks

2004 SL500
I bought a policy for $2,450.00 for 4 years 50,000 miles from The Mechanic through a gent on this forum from Nebraska. Have used it once and it was a easy process and no hassle. My local mb dealer quoted me a Fidelity in the same price range as you got. Not worth it.

Also check out Mercury Insurance Group. You can quote your vehicle at www.extended-vehicle-warranty.com and also download sample contracts so that you can review coverage details. Or shoot me an email and I can help you out.
Good luck!

2006 SL 500
Extended Warranty Question

Purchased one from Barrier MB in Bellevue WA for my 2006 SL 500 by National Warranty Corp. Premium Plus coverage, 0 deductible, mileage at purchase 36,500, purchase date 2/11/11, good for 48 monhts from date of purchase or 48K additional miles whichever comes first. Only 1 claim for leaking valve cover gaskets, no problems. Puchase price was about 3675. The price is negotiable, as they wanted more but I offered less.
