Does anyone know what is included in the "AMG Sports Package" option on a 2006 SL600? Was it factory installed or a dealer option. There are some mentions of the option in the SL owners manual but no detailed descriptions. Some sites will add additional used value for the option. Does anyone have any information? Thank you.

The AMG Sports Package was a $5,310 option that included the following:
772 - AMG Sportline
428 - Steering Wheel with Shift Paddles
R07 - AMG rims

Nothing engine, suspension or brakes related just AMG "look"

Thank you for the reply. The price for the "AMG SPORTS PACKAGE" was quoted to me as $10,025. There two obvious items are 428-steering wheel with shift paddles and R07-AMG rims. But what is 772-AMG sport line? Have seen it listed in other places on the forum but have no idea what it includes on a SL600. What is included? Thank you again

That's just the code for the appearance package.

The most noticeable difference is the front bumper and driving lights.

I'm sure there are other items but this is the first thing I look for to determine whether the car is equiped with a Sport Package.

SteveL1 Thank you for the photos and the explanation. An 06 model? It would appear that the complete front bumper is changed. Apparently the "AMG SPORTS PACKAGE" option would have been a factory installed option.

The bumper difference is the same on all models from '03 to '08 as far as I know and is definitly a factory installes option. Just not sure what other trim pieces are included.
