Nav ETA Accuracy Question

Every timei take a long trip in my 04 SL, the calculated ETA is off by 30 minutes then when I get close to home it corrects itself.

In my Genesis, you can set a MPH like 60 that the Nav uses in conjunction with the GPS sat data.

In my 04, all I see is a setting for inputting the tire size.

A. Am I missing finding another setting for calibrating the Nav?

B. do you think that if I input a larger tire size with a bigger diameter that this would fake out the calibration process and make the ETA estimate closer.
