Aftermarket Nav Installs?
Has anyone had any experience installing an aftermarket nav/screen/cd deck in an SL? I'm seriously considering researching that option as opposed to trying to upgrade the stock nav to be USB/Audio friendly. Of course it would be a clean installation that would allow me to go back to the OEM deck in the future for resale. I've gotten to the point to where if I can't plug my droid in and listen to the music on it, I don't want to listen to anything.

Yes, but the past 4 or 5 cars i've owned all sucked using that method. I'm afraid my SL will be the same way. Do you know of any particular transmitters that seem to work? I'd be happy to try one before I start hacking away at this system.

amgfan put in a kenwood deck, I'm planning to do the same as the factory stuff blows. That and my warranty just gave me a brand new command unit that ebay may like

I am leaning towards the 9980hd as they are a pretty good buy right now but I have a 7140 in my daily that I may decide to get rid of. Either way the whole interface will be a huge improvement on what I have now. I already have a kenwood 4 channel amp purchased in addition to the 1500 watt amp hooked up to my floor mounted up 13.5 and I really just need the install kit and component speakers to replace the awful Bose junk
