Need info on Panoramic SL roof urgently
I have waited nearly 5 years and I should be getting one of the first RHD SL55's supposedly June/July build (but dealer still hasn't received allocation). I have paid my deposit and specified options etc.
My initial mercedes literature (magazine from MB UK, etc.) claims availability of the glass roof sometime in Summer 02, but MB UK are being completely unhelpful and they claim that it may even be next year...
Does anybody have any information on what build date the glass roof will become available and whether it will become available simultaneously for LHD and RHD markets?
Thanks for any information you might have - I have called MB UK countless times, my dealer has even tried the factory I believe, and I am running out of time as I will not be able to change my order in a month or two...

that particular board has a bit less traffic than this one, but some of the folks are dealers and brokers and they span the globe pretty well - so SOMEBODY might know something.
