This year I am having an intermitting problem with my auto vent mode. In auto mode, all the air goes through my defrost vents. Right now my car is in the shop and the dealer is telling me that it is normal that the air is going through the defrost vents. And that you have to manually control the air through the vent you select.

I told him that the air should flow out of the front vents eventually. And I never had to manually adjust the vents until now.

So on a cold day, which vents does the air flow?
