2004 SL600 A/C button is on - A/C not working
When I push the A/C button, it just blinks a few times and then comes back on. A/C not blowing cold, and don't hear the compressor kicking on. No messages on dash currently except the XX days past maintenance day. Help?
Thx

SL500 and A-CLASS
Looks like the a/c control module. I had the same issue as you for the whole summer. It was intermitting problem. Every time I would bring my car tot he shop, the dealer said nothing is wrong.
Well it finally broke in front of the tech and warranty adjuster, so I got it replace for free! The new a/c control module will be the current one on the new SLs. Mercedes do not make the ones for 2004s anymore.

On my '04 sl 600 I thought the AC wasn't working because when the light was on I had nothing. Finally pushed the button so the light went off and suddenly I had full AC. Light function is totally opposite most American cars-when my AC light is on my Chevy truck, the AC is on. When my AC light is on my sl, the AC is off.
I need to read the owners manual more carefully!

Replaced the A/C Temperature Sensor - no dice
Well, I did as jwgntx55 suggested and just went ahead and bought the sensor and replaced it today. not a difficult job. Just a little bit of yoga to get positioned to see what the heck I was doing.
Problem is not resolved. Light still stays on. So push button, light goes off, then on, then off...then on solid.
Any other thoughts? Air does not blow cold. I know when the light is on, the AC is OFF. So the compressor isn't running, and no cold air. Getting close to time to worry about AC
Other options?
1) AC Control Module?
2) Freon recharge?
Thoughts?
Thanks!!
