2007 Transmission Problems
I have a 2007 SL550 with 20K Miles on it. The car started making a loud buzzing noise from the transmission. Then the car would not engage at times with the shifter in drive. This problem occurs when the car is warm, and on light acceleration. The car is not abused or driven hard. In fact just the opposite it is my wifes car.
Please provide any information regarding this topic. I could only find two other cases descibed.

Be careful as the SL transmissions have a HISTORY. I have completed a 7 year case against MB Agent where my transmission disengaged/ lost power and traction.excuse by MB was that I was touching transmission shift accidentally. They were proved wrong and I won my case. I was able to introduce in evidence 3 other car owners with similar problems. Quite a scary experience to loose traction when driving and I had one very scary expereience. So LReynolds be careful. You will find that MB are quite unsympathetic in dealing with you but will try and bully you ( in my case before it started their counsel stated that they were out to teach me a lesson) what a way to treat a customer. So there's my expereience for you.
