SL/R230: SL500 vs. SC430 noise level

SL500 vs. SC430 noise level
What do you guys think about the noise level of the SL vs. the Lexus SC430? I recently test drove both cars and I think the SC430 is ugly but it has much lower road and wind noise. I do like the exhaust note of the SL so I'm not complaining about that. However, I wish the SL was a bit quieter.

I don't quite remember where I saw it, but I seem to remember that the SL was actually a decibel or so below the SC in interior noise levels.
If you drove the SL top down with windows up, closing the rear windows makes a big difference in noise and wind turbulence...
But actually I don't care. Love the exhaust noise and the wind. This is whay I drive a convertible
