users voice activated cell phone package
Is this a worthwhile package? I know currently its limited to the motorola v60 (old news!) but I heard rumors that the 04 may have support for several others including Nokia and Erricson. My dealer told me in two years mercedes may completely get out of support cell phones due to the constantly changing phones.
Any experiences with this would be appreciated.

I have the European version - Nokia 6310 and Linguatronic and it works well, especially as it is soon to be illegal to use a hand-held while driving here.
I know it's an expensive option in the US, far more so than here and I don't think I'd be interested at that price.
I believe current production supports a common phone interface into phones from Nokia, Motorola, Siemens and Sony-Ericsson which should make the keeping-up-to-date issue easier.
