Does the new SL come with the Command System standard? Assuming it does, does it include the TV option as available on the European Command Screen. Assume it is also connected with a CD player. What about DVD? In otherwords can one watch TV and DVD's on the Command Screen. On my Kenwood system I can watch both although it requires the parking brake to be activated. Is this the same for the new Command System on the new SL?

Maybe Marcusbenz can scan through one of the owners manuals there at the dealership to answer these questions. Thanks

 

I see on the European photos the word TV is visible on one of the left side buttons next to the command screen. Anyone who can get into the drivers seat see if the US version has the word TV on at least one of the buttons?

 

This option is not available in the USA, but if you buy an after market TV turner, you will be able to watch TV program on the display (LCD?). You may also be able to watch programs when the car is on the move (Not advisable), most europeans model with the TV option will only allow you to watch when the parking brake is on. TV turners prices ranges from $120 to $250 ($USA)
