Camber/Caster bolt kit 05 Sl 600
Where is the best place to purchase this kit?
I called autohausAZ and was told they don't carry a kit for that model.
Called local MB dealer parts and he never heard of the kit??
Yet the service rep said if it needs bolts during alignment it will cost $500 + !!
Dealer normal alignment is $129.00
I called a Independent repair shop and was told $198.00 for the alignment and if it needs the bolt kit it's $120.00 for all four wheels.
Another wanted $240.00 for the alignment and $230.00 for the bolt kit.
I have 20" Lorinser wheels which were on the car when new in the showroom.
The rear tires were worn on the very inside down to the steel!!
It sounds like I will need the kit. I have 305/25/20 on the rear.
The ones that were on that had the wear problem were Pirelli PZero.
I noticed when the wheel was off that it has a spacer attached.
Without the spacer it looks like it would still clear the caliper but I'm not sure.
I don't recall the Pirelli's sticking out past the fenderwells as much as the Hankook's do. I'm wondering if the spacers are for looks?

I just bought the OEM front bolt kit from the local MB parts department.
$25 each corner (fronts only).
Get the part number from your local Mercedes and we can compare.

What is your offset on the Lorinsers?
I'm curious cuz I have a set of Giovanna's coming tomorrow, and a set of Hankook V12's that showed up today 255/30r20 and 305/25r20.

Well,
I think I lucked out as far as an alignment goes.
Greff motors told me the toe was way out and that whoever aligned it last (before I bought it)
left everything loose after they aligned it?? They said they were able to get it within specs.
I found this that might interest the forum. Check it out!
