How do you remove the trunk lid lining?
Hi all,
I am continuing the process of installing sirius in my 2005 SL500. I now have all the parts; the next step is drilling the hole in the trunk roof to place the antenna.
While I have seen earlier threads on doing that - including the reference to the proper tool - I have not been able to find anything that actually tells you how to take the liner off the trunk lid. I realize that this has to be done while the roof is down, so that the side wings unfold from under the lining; but beyond that, I can't find anything.
I have seen references to the official documentation for document AR68.3-P-8150 "Remove/Install Trunk Lid Trim", but have not been able to find that.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...

Try doing a search for a photo tutorial on replacing the taillights....as you have to take the liner off for that. I did it this summer and it wasn't too hard...mostly clips, etc....but I am pretty sure someone posted a step by step thing on removing the liner at some point on here.
