Battery vent hole to where
Hi all
Just replaced my trunk battery.. with aftermarket Walmart.
Noted that the original OEM battery vent tube went from the battery to nothing.. just tucked downwards.
Is this correct? or is there a whole somewhere that it should vent to?
What if it isn't long enough with the new battery?
Thanks in advance!

Hi. Did you get an AGM battery? AGM batteries are approved for use in living spaces, and enclosed places like your trunk. A regular battery will off gas hydrogen during the charge and discharge cycle, and hydrogen is very explosive - not something you want in your trunk. AGM batteries don't off gas anything under normal circumstances as they are sealed, and they reabsorb the hydrogen. My older car has a regular battery under the rear seat, but it is vented outside. I am not sure if there is a possibility of venting the trunk battery to the outside.

Nvm... Found the grommet in the light.. It was right there, front left corner of the battery area. I thought it was a solid plug at first and didn't notice the hole.
I have pics if anybody needs.
