Keyless go not working :(
Hi,
I've asked on benzworld but no one seems to have an answer.
Basically my keyless go has completely stopped working. I no longer even get the message saying 'key not recognised'. Nothing shows on the dash at all.
I replaced the 6.5A fuse as this had blown, and then the car made a few beeps but the keyless go is still acting as if it doesn't even exist
.
The fuse has not blown again as I have checked.
Can anyone suggest what has happened?
I am also trying to get to the keyless module in the boot to look for any obvious water damage, but I can't get the carpet off that covers it, does anyone have a tutorial for this?
Many thanks
Elliot

The battery has been changed but it's nothing to do with the battery
Normally when the key battery is low the dash would say 'key not recognised'
But since the fuse blew the dashboard won't even show this message now

Doesnt the battery charge when inserted into the ignition? Or does the battery need replacing??

When reconnecting you will have to reset the ESP and windows, but that helped me clear out an shifter issue at one point in time.
Other than that, visit a dealer or find someone with a StarTek diagnostics setup to check for faults...

I had it checked with STAR but no faults showed really, they said they'd need it longer to do more tests but I didn't want a huge bill ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Had all fault codes reset and also done the battery reset job
