I purchased a pre-owned 2004 SL500 from a wholesaler last fall and I have been working on getting all of the options working. The rear battery kept dying so after recharging and putting a trickle charger on it I decided to replace it. I went to the dealer to get something reset as I read about on the web from many owners and was told there is nothing to reset. I downloaded a manual and found that the key is supposed to put the top down when used at the IR in the door handle. I also was getting a message about the SAT which I wanted to use with new Serios(sp) contract. Auto trunk closer quit working also. I went back to my local dealer and was told that they did not offer those features until 2007. Some of these features were working before the battery change so now I am really confused. Put new battery in the remote and still nothing. Any ideas?
