SL 500 Navigation Nightmare

Has anyone ever turned on CD changer and every 30 seconds Navigation is not ready sounds off. In addition, controls on head unit tend to freeze and i have to adjust cd track and volume from steering wheel. Lovely car, terrible audio system. Seems to be worse on hot days. Has anyone had these issues? Thanks in advance!

When it is very hot out, sometimes my audio just stops entirely until I turn it off and back on again. I haven't noticed if I lose the controls as well, but I will check next time it happens.
It has only happened to me probably 5 or 6 times in the past year. Annoying, but so long as it doesn't get worse I can live with it! Does anyone know what might be the bad component for this issue? Perhaps there is a common cause of both issues???
