2003 Sl 500 Widebody Need help with Code 0455 and Gas Cap Check
Ok, Ive searched and can't find the info I'm looking for. I have a 2003 SL 500. I'm trying to get it smoged as it has been getting a wide body face lift after a fender bender 9 months ago. I am trying to cycle the engine to get all the sensors in ready mode but I'm still not clearing the secondary air. As I have been cycling the Check Gas Cap light comes on and a short time after the CEL comes on. I have changed the gas cap. Now I'm trying to find the purge valve but I can't find any info on where it is for a 2003 SL 500. If anyone knows a proper procedure to check things please fill me in. I have spent a ton of money on this car after the accident and need to fix this myself at my shop. Like I said I have already replaced the gas cap and I'm still getting the error. Next step should be the purge valve but I don't know where it is.
