SL500
SL500 Trunk Flap Broken off not sagging

The Drivers side flap has broken off where it hooks to the gear. This seems to be differnet problem then this https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...y-fix-diy.html.

I have attached photos.

All the people with the sagging problem the flap seems to be still attached

Any suggestion on how to fix and part #

You just have to replace the whole flap hinge assembly. I would find a used one. Mercedes only sells the whole assembly with both side, the motor, and cables. The vinyl covered piece is removable, so you don't need to find one with the same color.

Or take about $1500 and go to your local MB dealer.
