SL/R230: Instrument panel lights staying ON

Instrument panel lights staying ON
I washed the car today so also sprayed some engine degreaser and gently rinsed it off.
The car is running perfectly fine and I cleaned it up nicely. It wasn't until late this evening I realized that after parking the car and locking it the instrument panel lights and the clock are staying ON.
I am unable to understand as to what's going on.
I just bought the car about a month ago and it's a 2003 SL with 46000 miles on it.

The SAM ((Signal Acquisition Module)) water got on it !The SAM functions much as a network router . It monitors input from various,controls, switches, monitoring devices, and warning systems. Happend to me once before but my problem was rear brakes light was staying on.I just remove the Sam module used my air blower and spay electrical cleaner." Problem went away instantly "

Can anyone confirm which SAM would need to be looked at for this? I couldn't find any specifics on which SAM or how to remove any of them.
