SL running hot?
I noticed today that my '04 SL500's temperature gauge was reading about 90 degrees as I was driving. That seemed a bit hot to me so I called and a MB tech advised me that it is normal for an SL to run between 80 and 90 degrees. I've scheduled an appointment to have it looked at just in case, but was wondering if anyone else has experience this with their SL? Any thoughts or comments you have are appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm running around 100c here in Florida but, according to the owner's manual, that is very normal and desireable for the catalytic converters. Because of the turbos in my '04 SL600, I notice the car gives off A LOT of heat when not moving and still gives off A LOT of heat in the garage long after shut down.

Thanks!
Ok, thanks for your feedback. I'll probably still take my SL to the MB tech for a check-up, just to make sure everything is Ok. But, I feel better knowing that other people's cars are running at the same temp and that 90 degrees is relatively normal for an SL.
