Turning off service B light on 2009 SL 63
Can anyone give specific steps to turn off the service b due light? I have only driven about 1000 miles since my last $250 oil change bill, and don't want to do that again now for only 1000 miles. Obviously the system is time sensitive as well as miles sensitive.

It's really a piece of cake to turn that service light off. Here is the procedure...
To reset the SERVICE light all you have to do is the following:
1. Turn the key to the ON position but do not start the engine.
2. In the mileage window, display the SERVICE "X" light. Press once.
3. Then press and hold for 3 seconds
The SERVICE light will go out. It will go to the next service schedule.

Thanks for your help. I got the proper procedure today at a MB third party service group. it is:
Key to position 2, do not start engine
Menu button to display mileage screen
Down arrow once to display service X screen.
Hold reset button for appx 5 seconds and it goes to the service screen
When asked if you want to reset service interval hold down reset for 3 seconds
Display then says service interval reset to service X
Turn off key and start car. Service message is now gone and reset.
