SL/R230: No SL600

No SL600
As I have said previously, there were 2 MBUSA rep.'s at the unveiling party. I asked one of them about the SL600, and was told that MB has not decided if they are going to make the SL600.
There reasoning was justifiable. The only real difference between the SL600, and the SL55 would be the V12 engine.
They did say, however that MB is working on a "supercharged, bi turbo V12" engine?

I can't believe that. Even if that were the case, the V12 experience would be just worth the production. I'm extremely disappointed by this news. Hopefully they will make it eventually.

The turbo was designed for the Maybach....the SL V12 has always been described as either a detuned turbo or 5.8 normal motor, with around 362-367HP...same motor will upgrade the S and CL.
Every Rep I have met at these events didn't know Sh**!
Using bi-turbo/supercharged in the same sentence is a good example!
I think they just want to push the 500.
