SL/R230: Dash lights

Dash lights
Hi All,
2003 SL500, 88k miles.
The dash lights for the speedometer/tachmometer are out. Well specifically, the ones in the middle of the two guages are out. That makes it hard to see the numbers at night.
I pulled the guage cluster thinking that I would just pull the bulb and replace, no such luck.
The lighting comes from tiny SMD's on the control board.
My question is, is that something that could be replaced? If so, what kind of shop would I look for to do such delicate soldering? I can solder, but wouldn't risk it on this piece because of how expensive it is to replace.
