Hello All:

I am looking at some Carlsson 9.5 x 20 in the fronts with 10.5 by 20 in the back for my 2004 R230. The offset is 50 all the way around. The seller indicates the rims should fit on the R230, however I may need hubcentric spacers.

I really like the Carlsson wheels as I am in Norcal and you dont see anyone running Carlsson's up here. The seller is in another state but he indicates the wheels will fit on my car.

I am concerned that 9.5 in the front may be a bit wide. I tried to research it and it looks like most owners with the R230 go 8.5 or 9 in the front at the most.

Also, the 50 offset; is that going to be an issue? I'm not that excited about using spacers, although I see many on the forum are using them without any issue.

If anyone has any input or recommendations I would really appreciate it.
My main question is whether it would make more sense to get a narrower front wheel like an 8.5 or will the 9.5 be ok with a more narrow tire. Also, is the 50 mm offset going to just be a huge hassell and perhaps I should just find a wheel with a 35 offset like the Merz manufacturer specifications recommend.

I have Carlsson Ultra Lights 1/16 (2 19x8.5 front and 4 19x10 I have for my car with mounting kit, TPS sensors and the hub centric spacers with the long lugnuts needed to mount them to your R230.) I'm getting ready to sell them if you want them I'll sell them for a good price since each wheel is about 2,000 new.
