Not being an expert, this conclusion is the only answer that makes any sense to me.

It has been almost a month since my last post but I can now tell you the the SL line (230) IS NOT getting the new nose.
Not going to happen and not planned for in the anytime near future.

WRONG WRONG WRONG
I have been to Mercedes training and they have confirmed a new nose.
Unless we are only getting it in Canada (I don't think so).
The MB trainer has implicitly told me that he has also seen the new nose.
Bigfoot works at MB and he has confirmed it.
I work at MB and I have been told by numerous sources.
Where are you getting YOUR information from.
All who argue with me will be proven wrong!
I'm not trying to start any arguements but I know 100% that I am correct on this.

I assume Canada is included in MB North America but I am not 100% certain. I know they do things differently in Europe but I don't know if there are differences between Canada and the US.
With respect to the SL "NOT" getting the new nose, I am only repeating what I see on paper from MBUSA. I too am not trying to start an argument. Other than for what I got in writing, I would have no idea.
Time will tell.

There is no way someone at MBUSA can guarantee you what MB Germany is going to do. MBUSA is an independent company and MBCanada is owned by MBGermany.
Who do you think is correct?

How does the corporate structure work? Are you saying that MBUSA and MBCanada are two separate companies? Also, is there a corporate structure which I always here referred to as Mercedes Benz North America. How are they all related to with respect to Germany? I have no idea how that works but would be interested to understand. Do you know how all these entities work?

We in Canada are owned 100% by Mercedes in Germany while MBUSA is a private company which imports Mercedes from Germany. They are not owned in any part by Mercedes in Germany.
The president from Mercedes Canada is appointed by Germany and reports directly to them. The States can make their own rules because technically they do not have to report to Germany. They have to meet minimum corporate standards but they can do what they like.
Thats why the entire world had a website which looked the same (grey) and MBUSA had black. Remember that?
Germany wont mess too much with the states because its a huge market but I can guarantee you they cannot control what Mercedes does or does not build.
I have been employed with Mercedes for 25 years and have gone through 3 presidents of Mercedes Canada, the first one being Mr Halata your current president.
I also help run a premiere spy site www.MBCanada.com here in Canada.
All my inside sources point to a new front end and they have been confirmed.
As I said before, all the people who said impossible will eventually see the new F1 nose.
I'm looking forward to posting real spy pictures as soon as they become available. Until then I have to take the word of the trainers who have been in Germany and BigFoot who works at the plant.
Check out the STARSPY section on www.MBCanada.com for more information.

I sent the spy pictures that are floating around to my person in Montvale and it also prompted the response I got that what is seen in these pictures IS NOT coming to the USA. I wouldn't be surprised if it came out in Europe some time though. They always get things before the States do including new colors.
Again, who knows.
Again, who knows.

Who knows. Only time will tell. I think if they do that they are going to have a lot of very upset customers. Think of the guy that just bought a first model year SL65 for $180,000 plus and then next year the whole look is outdated.
I wouldn't like to be that person.
By the way, who likes the "proposed" new nose and who likes it the way it is?

New Nose
I like the Nose the way it is now, and don't think we will see anything different anytime soon, it would be very unlike them to do such a change so quickly.

The whole car game is about change, just like computers.
How do you think the people that just bought the all new C-Class sport will feel when they find out the car comes with a standard 200 plus horsepower motor in six months?
They won't like it but that is how they sell more cars.
The only way to find out in advance is to read our STAR SPY section, our entire game is to break news before it happens.
So far we've always been bang on.
