2006 SL 550
17" vs 18" Wheels
The US 2004 SL 500 has the option of 17' or 18" wheels. No extra charge. Does anyone have any feedback on the difference in Ride, performance, noise level or anything else that might help me decide which I want.

my dad and I just took euro delivery of my parents' '04 sl500. we have the 18" wheels, and the ride was more than comfortable. even at 100mph, and with ABC sport switch turned on, didn't feel rough, harsh, or unruly at all.

i dont know why in the world anyone would choose the 17's, especially since 18's are standard. im sure the difference in ride comfort is minimal while the handling and high speed benifits of the 18's is worth it.
