I just posted on R230 BenzWorld that I will be home in time to attend. If THE list is being kept by SL4Life, please add my name! My drive distance will be all of 5 miles!

Add my wife and I to the list! Sounds like fun. Coming from SW Pennsylvania, we will leave early in the morning and enjoy some of the scenic routes along the way. Hope the weather is nice.

cross post from BenzWorld:
For all attendees at the Roadster Meet of 9/13 at 'the Gables' near Chadds Ford, PA:
I just received a notice from the local region of MBCA regarding the annual Concours d' Elegance event at Radnor Hunt Club on Sunday 9/14 (northwestern suburb of Philadlephia - about 30 miles east of where this Roadster Meet is taking place). Here's the link to their website announcement for anyone who'd like to attend both events for a total CARS weekend!
The Concours d?Elegance | Radnor Hunt Concours
PS: I've attended this Concours a couple of times, and while it's not Pebble Beach or Amelia Island, it usually has an excellent selection of MB's and other marques on display and being judged.

Meet Up Ride
For those who are up for a ride through the area, I mapped & drove a beautiful route this morning. It is 19.6 miles and took 29 minutes. I would be happy to lead the pack for this spirited ride through historic Chadds Ford, and Centerville DE.
If interested, we can discuss when we meet on the 13th. Be sure your tires, brakes and suspension are in good shape as there are numerous curves, dips, hills and other "surprises" along the way. There may also be runners and cyclists on the roads as this is such a scenic area. Few stop signs, one or two traffic lights, all back roads.

For anyone who likes to drive on interesting/fun roads, it's hard to beat southeast PA and northern DE (well, there really aren't any mountains there, but the terrain has interesting hills and many roads seem to have been laid out by 'cows' making their cowpaths).
I moved to the area about 45 years ago, and fell in love with the 'country road drives'. So, as a resident of the area, I highly recommend Joseph's 'back road drive' option. I'd volunteer to do one in PA, going north instead of south, but I'll have been away for a month and home for only one day, so have to many things to get done at home later that day.
Cheers,

I just put on a good coat of fresh wax on... What ever, it should just wash off when the sun comes back out. I figure the only way to avoid rain is to move back to the desert Why else did they put windshield wipers on the thing?
Hopefully it is moving south and out of our way.
Mostly it means the top stays up to me.

Awesome Turnout, People & Cars!
It was a great day! I hope everyone had as much fun as I had. Great to see so many well kept and loved cars!
Some asked about my flashing third brake light after our drive through the Brandywine Valley:
I bought it here: http://www.kahtec.com Cost was $28.00 including shipping

I'm glad that everyone had a wonderful time. Kudos to Josephanthony and PeteS for a great venue. GTBill did use those 2 things at the base of his front window and there was a little melting from the SL65 he had brought to show all of us before the heavy rain. to all everyone was great and I hope that we can make this an annual event for all Mercedes convertible models.
