2009 SL 550 Silver Arrow Launch Edition
I had problem with drivers side Keyless go not working. First they replaced the handle (yes, they needed to paint it to match) then happened again and they just replaced door latch today. Works fine now. Handle would have been a $700. job and latch would have been a $1,100. job, but my after market warranty covered both 100%.

Yeah checked fuse. Disagram showed #58 10 amp red. Fuse box inside car. Actually there was a 25 amp in slot but it was OK. Next to it was red 10 amp but it to was OK. Thanks

The last thing I always do before I take a car into the shop for non-safety warnings is disconnect the battery (batteries) for 30 minutes. My last car was notorious for systems to stop responding. Again, not saying it will help but it's not that difficult to do...

I would try to lock/unlock the car from both doors and the trunk, and I would try to start the engine -- all with no keys within range of the vehicle. If there are still no messages in the cluster at the moment you try these actions, then I would suspect a faulty Keyless Go controller.
I am unaware of any "synchronizing" procedures that relate to Keyless Go.

Strange. Went to lunch, forgot my I-Phone. Approached from Pass side and touched the door handle and key-go worked perfectly. Went to drivers side and still no key-go. Back at office still working on pass side but not drivers. Just got off work and now drivers and passenger are working as if nothing had occurred. Far as I know nothing fixes itself . Any Replies?

Junior started a Keyless Go thread that related specifically to locking/unlocking the vehicle. Minutes later he started this thread, and my presumption was that this thread is in regard to a general failure of the KG system including the engine start function. If I was right, then he does not have the same problem you had; if I was wrong, then why are there (now) three concurrent threads started for one problem?

Well yesterday when I thought all was well the drivers door key go stopped working. Other door, trunk, gear shift still working perfectly. Will try one suggestion above to do a battery reset. If not fixed off to the dealer. I hate that $175 diagnostic fee.

Saw one reply to disconnect battery. Does this cause other issues as far as re-scncing windows, etc. Woudn't pulling the key go fuse for 10 minutes do same thing? Just asking

Broke down went to dealer. Must have been in good mood that day. Told me immediately it was door handle, go to parts, order, they would send to paint shop for paint and he would call. Here's the good stuff. Mercedes must have a lot of problems with these, they come already painted your car's color, and my advisor said I could wait on install only take 15 minutes. Was $489 but better than I saw in another thread @ $700. Thanks for help guys
