Question On 2007 SL600 ....

The SL600s are starting to become "more affordable" for the middle class slaves like me and I was doing some research on them in preparation for a possible purchase within the next 6 months but I found one at a dealership in Kalifornia that had Carlsson badging all over it and on the motor itself it says CK60 or something close so I did some more research on it. Can anyone here tell me anything about that? Looks like Carlsson has different packages they do and so forth but this car didn't have the quad pipes so what I would like to avoid is having something some ******* just put a bunch of badges on.

thanks!

Question On 2007 SL600 ....

It looks to me like Carlsson is a tuning outfit that has made some modifications to the car. http://www.carlsson.de/carlsson/en/d...ndlersuche.php before you purchase I recomend you find out what has been modfied and make sure you want the risk that goes along with the modifications. I have a 2008 SL600 I purchased new and I love the car. I looked into a re-chip and thought about it for a day or so and decided against it. The car has amazing tourqe without any modifications.

Chances are it has had the ECU/TCU done and maybe a couple of cosmetic bits. Carlsson are a big tuning outfit and they do good work. It will produce around 600bhp and have a manual shift mode installed. As long as all the service records are in place it should be nothing to worry about in fact it is a good upgrade but I would get rid of the badges.

The CK60 was a series of mods done but this car doesn't have the carlsson body kit bits as far as I can see. Just check it is a V12 under the CK60 badges in the engine bay

Roger that. Thanks gents.

I've got some slight corrections to make on my O2 sensors on my E55 to get the CEL off since the secondary cat/resonator delete, and then going to try and private party the car. I've got 82k on it and just did the transmission service. Depends how quickly I can find a buyer, then hopefully find that diamond in the rough/bang for the buck SL600/SL65 with a good owner and service records.
