Bluetooth won't work

I have a 2007 SL55 with bluetooth that stopped working. The puck still lights up and the phone says it's connected but the head unit says the phone isn't inserted. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Delete the MB connection on the phone and try to pair again.

The fiber optic wiring has broken probably from opening and closing console? If so you need to find direct phone jack input were it leads to jack near cradle. Buy cradle eliminator cable plug puck directly into main jack then hide it away near main jack, or replace fiber optic wiring that leads to phone jack near cradle, very expensive if that is the problem to test just unplug jack near cradle and plug directly into main jack at bottom of console. You will have to remove cover inside console to get to plugs

Thanks, I'll look into that, I'm seriously considering replacing the system, it's not the most user friendly thing out there. Trying to find an installer that knows these cars is tough.

I'm installing the Chinese head unit this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out...

If you indeed need to replace fiber optic wire, the fix I suggested will be more reliable with your existing unit
