DOOR LOCK AND HAZARD SWITCH REPLACE
I bought a new door lock and hazard switch for my 2008 . (Old one has deteriorated). It's the switch mounted in the center a/c vent. Does anyone know how to remove that switch??

To remove the hazard switch you have to lift up the centre vent on the dash that holds the clock. Carefully pry at one of the back corners of the vent to get it out. With the vent out you will see two small screws that go into the top of the hazard switch. Remove the screws and the switch comes out easily. IIRC they were a torx head about size 20.
I took mine out to use car wax to remove the black crud that was the old soft coating on the switch buttons. Once you have yours replaced you can clean the old one up and resell it on eBay, assuming its still working.
