iPhone 5s hook up in 2011 SL
How does one go about connecting the 5s to play music via the the in car system? My phone and car connect via Bluetooth for phone use, but I don't know how or if music is capable via Bluetooth. Is there a modification or gizmo that needs to be purchased? I have a an IPOD and aux connection in the center console. Appreciate the help. Gary

You will need mb media + thingy, i got it from dealer a while ago, plays music through bluetooth, it is a little box you put in under your armrest box and replace you current ipot and aux connector, cost around 200 something. Down side is that somewhat like one second lag when you skip song, overall sound quality is not bad.

I have 2011 l550 and al you need is a "lightning adaptor". Converts large existing plug in console. Just plug in and then iPhone will plug into lightning. Everything works, and charges!

Flittlejr, thanks. Appreciate the info, plus your timing couldn't be better. I'm hoping our winter is over and I can take my SL out of winter storage. Again, thanks. I'll be looking for the adapter soon. Gary.
